About The Hall Family

The Hall Foundation’s background reflects a combination of opportunity and hard work. While they value their privacy, they are united by a shared love for Mississippi and a deep desire to see it thrive.

Through travel and experience, they’ve gained perspective on what makes Mississippi extraordinary and where there’s room for progress. Inspired by both pride and possibility, they established this foundation to help strengthen communities, expand access, and invest in the future of their home state.

They believe in a future where:

  • Every child has access to a quality education and the chance to grow into a thriving, independent adult.
  • No child goes without healthy food.
  • Teachers and counselors are equipped to recognize and nurture each student’s unique strengths.
  • Mental health is supported with care, resources, and respect.
  • Deserving students can pursue college and career goals with the support they need.

The Michael and Valarie Hall Foundation exists to help make that future a reality—by backing established nonprofits, championing bold new ideas, and investing in meaningful, lasting change across Mississippi.

Investing in Northeast Mississippi and its people.
